Heart Rate Variable Evaluation
HRV (Heart Rate Variable) evaluates how well your body handles the stressors that life throws our way.
As you go through the day, your nervous system is constantly adjusting to factors in your environment and in our bodies. You’ve heard of the fight-or-flight reaction (sympathetic tone) which activates stress hormone production. Opposite is the rest-and-digest phase (parasympathetic tone) which allows the body to recover or power down. These two responses play off each other, switching back and forth as required. However, with prolonged stress and the feeling of being ‘on’ or ‘ready,’ your body can get stuck in fight-or-flight and not power down as readily as it should.
An HRV evaluation will measure this so that you can take steps to provide your body with the tools to get ‘un-stuck.’
What to expect
A pair of sensors are placed on your wrists. They are hooked up to the monitor which then creates an overall snapshot of the state of your stress-health in graphs and images.
What you learn from an HRV evaluation
