Learn More

The International Association for Colon Hydrotherapy (I-ACT) is the premiere professional organization for colon hydrotherapists around the globe whose focus is to ensure continued and progressive education in the field with the highest standards for professionalism.

As an I-ACT certified professional colon hydrotherapist, you have access to the best education and training; exciting professional development opportunities; professional standards and ethics; mentorship; marketing compliance materials and direction; advocacy, legislative and legal support; up-to-date communications; community connectedness; and so much more.

Becoming an I-ACT certified professional colon hydrotherapist means you not only have the knowledge and skill, you also have the support of the entire professional organization around the world. As an I-ACT certified professional colon hydrotherapist, you are always part of something more because you are never alone.

Why NBCHT Credentialing

In 2000, the National Board for Colon Hydrotherapy (NBCHT) was formed as a sister organization to I-ACT, established for the sole purpose of certifying therapists through standardized testing.

Learn More

As the organization evolved, it recognized the need for professional credentialing, and in 2013 became a standalone certification organization focused solely on the purpose of maintaining credentialing exams that are legally defensible and say a therapist has necessary skills and knowledge to practice to a high standard.  By passing the NBCHT exam, a therapist can say they are among the best in the industry and have the credentials to prove it.

As part of the Professional Colon Hydrotherapy Training Course, students will take the NBCHT exam as the final certification step.  Upon successful completion, a student will hold both national board credentials as well as I-ACT certification as a professional colon hydrotherapist.
